History

The Jaguar E-Type was manufactured between 1961 and 1975. Its combination of beauty, high performance, and competitive pricing established the model as an icon of the motoring world. The E-Type's claimed 150 mph top speed, sub-7-second 0 to 60 mph acceleration distinguished the car and spurred industry-wide changes. This beautiful example is presented in opalescent green with buscuit leather and a sand hood and was dispatched new to California in September 1961. It has all of the expected features of the more desireable early cars such as the flat floor, welded bonnet louvres, aluminium dash and 4 speed moss gearbox. First registered in January 1962 to its first owner it has only had 3 further owners since that time and has recently undergone various restoration works including a bare metal respray carried out by world renound Jaguar experts Butlin & Sons based in derbyshire. With an extensive history file including invoices dating back to 1975 and a hertiage certificate from Jaguar it would be hard to find a better example of a true icon of motoring.
